Today we’d like to introduce you to Yolanda Mitchell.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

My passion for skincare started with the birth of my first baby girl 24 years ago with exzema, then the birth of my 12yr old cemented my interest. I was 40 going through perimenopause, thought I had a tumor, and found out about our unexpected blessing. Her skin was even more sensitive than my older daughter. I tried everything over the counter possible. She would breakout no matter what! Her doctor prescribed her a steroid cream. However, for many reasons I didn’t want to continue its use. It was then that I realized that I had to go natural and start making concoctions in my kitchen. She started having white spots on her face, we called them her beauty marks. She was okay with them until she was about 10, and thankfully I had finally created a product that worked. Because she was a golfer, sun exposure was an issue, so adding oils for protection was necessary. Then I started adding ingredients that would help my 50yr old skin, that would help my mom, my son, my husband, etc. After completing lab formulation, we are happy to introduce to you :“ONE HUNDRED”! I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

I don’t believe that success ever comes easily. There will always be challenges, but I see the challenges as opportunities to better my gift. I see it as plan, do, and review. Challenges for a working mom are numerous! We always try to balance everything in our lives, but I really can’t say that it’s always a true balance. Life for me is more like spinning plates. It’s a matter of making sure that my priorities in life are correct (God 1st, Family 2nd, Business 3rd), and making sure that my priorities of the day are taken care of in order of importance. The real challenge for me comes when it seems that everyone and everything seems to need my attention at the same time and when I am not at full capacity to give 100%. However, I am extremely blessed to have an amazing husband of 30 years who makes me rest when he sees me going into overload. I also have the great support of my 24yr old daughter, my 29yr old son and his wife, and my 12yr old who always reminds me that I am 52 years old! So, listening to my body and my family, along with prayer, helps me to overcome any challenges.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

Because I am 52, and all of my products in some way help defy the aging process on our skin, I would say Natural Anti Aging Skincare. But I would also like to say that I specialize in trying to find natural solutions to everyday problems that my family and people that I know face concerning skin. That is how I came up with our Ageless Vitamin Moisturizer, and definitely my newest product that basically anyone can use- One Hundred. For eg: my husband started experiencing vitiligo on his hands. So I made a cream with the necessary vitamins to help restore nutrients, which also helps with cracking skin and ezcema as well. This is my Crack No More Hand Balm which can be used all over the body. Another example is that as I have gotten older, I seem to bump my leg against things, and I bruise easily. I now have a product called Bruise Be Gone. It helps diminish the bruising and also helps get rid of the soreness associated with it.
Over the competitionINTEGRITY of the product is everything for me. It is who I am. A piece of my heart and soul is in every product.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

I love the quote, “If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life”. Yes you work, but the truth is, it doesn’t feel like work when you love doing it! I absolutely love researching natural ingredients and blending and seeing how to get the best efficacy for the problem I am trying to solve. Find something you are passionate about doing. If you can’t do it full time, do what you HAVE to do, until you can do what you WANT to do! Let it drive you to the success you deserve!

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success for me is the peace and happiness that comes with creating something that truly helps people, while providing me the time and leverage needed to enjoy my family and our lifestlye.
